The problem
A solo operator needs overdue-payment follow-ups and a safe way to reconcile money already received, but a generic reminder or an unverified paid mark can duplicate a payment or misstate what a customer owes.
An agent can re-check bounded provider lifecycle and received-payment evidence against the external record, leaving collection judgment, allocation choices, customer terms, and material settlement approval with the operator.
Safe stopping and recovery
Useful even when the whole path cannot run.
- Stop after suppression/eligibility review when no owner resend approval is recorded.
- Stop after settlement preparation or review when no matching owner settlement approval is recorded.
- Stop with a safe recovery ref when delivery or settlement outcome is uncertain.
- If invoice lifecycle or promise state is incomplete, suppress by default and record an external exception.
- If a resend outcome is unknown, retrieve the same invoice and reconcile it; do not use generic communication delivery or a new send path.
- If a PaymentRecord report, payment attachment, or paid-out-of-band mark is unknown, re-read the known provider object and selected external record before any retry; never create a new source identity or idempotency key to bypass uncertainty.
